In my private therapy practice, I aim to do just that in a comfortable and confidential environment where you can learn about yourself and learn to think about your situation in a new and different way.
I am an exceptionally high achiever, having attained my doctorate at age 25, and use my intelligence and training to help my clients live more satisfying and enjoyable lives. I am an expert at shifting problems toward solutions and engendering positive outcomes.
As a New York City Psychologist, I provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy in my office located in the heart of Chelsea. In my comfortable office at 138 W. 25th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, you and I will meet for an initial appointment where we can discuss your current situation and determine both whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether I feel I can help you.
Individual sessions are usually forty-five to fifty minutes in length and together you and I will develop a treatment plan within the first few sessions. In your first session you will complete necessary paperwork as well as sign a consent form for treatment.
As a psychologist, I see problems as problem-patterns of interaction and change as shifts in those problem-patterns toward new action and change. I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic techniques in therapy, along with my own brief therapy approaches written about in my doctoral dissertation. Often my clients experience significant change within only a few weeks.
My services are covered by most insurance companies, and I am an in-network provider for most companies. If I am an out-of-network provider foryour particular insurance company, I can provide you a bill of my service so my service fee can often be reimbursed to you. Should you wish to keep your records completely confidential from any third parties, you can also pay out-of-pocket. Payment will be determined in our first session.
