Sexual, physical, emotional abuse & sexual assault.

The pain associated with any type of abuse is something profound.  And working
through issues surrounding sexual, physical, emotional abuse and sexual assault
can be very painful, but very productive.

Living a life as someone who has survived sexual, physical, and emotional abuse
or sexual assault is not without its' consequences.  There are often negative
consequences such as low self-esteem, shame, depression, anxiety, relationship
problems, post-traumatic stress, fear of being alone, and difficulties seeing hope
for the future.  Survivors of such an experience are often affected greatly, and
often feel out of place in the world.  Because it can be very difficult to discuss the
events and pain one has experienced in the past, especially related to sexual,
physical, and emotional abuse, it is extremely important that you work with a
trained professional who you trust very much.

Working through past sexual, physical, and emotional abuse or sexual assault
can be very helpful in enhancing present relationships, self-esteem, confidence,
and most importantly, helping you better respect yourself and your experience as
a survivor.
